Yu-Ching Hsu built the bopomofo app paid edition as a Commercial app; and the bopomofo preview edition as an Ad-supported app. The service is provided by Yu-Ching Hsu and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use this app.
If you choose to use my app, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at bopomofo unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use
My service and this app collects only "name" and no other personal identifiable information.
The preview free edition of the app does not collect any personal identical information. For a better experience, the paid edition of the app allow you to input a ‘name’ value voluntarily while using the app. While this could be a nick name or first name, The information that that you voluntarily input is always retained on your device and is not collected by me in any way.
The name is to provide a better user experience If there are multiple persons using the same app on the same device while each one can easily identify their own progress.

The free preview edition which you cannot input your “name” uses third party service, the Google AdMob. Since app does not collect any personal identifiable information, not even the name. I do not, and will not share any information from my service to this third party service.

Retention and deletion of information:
Since the information collected by the paid edition of the app only retain the data in your device and will not be collected by our service remotely. You will have full control of the retention and deletion of those information with your devices.
